Is there a way that I can get the sound from a music video and save it on my comp?

Yeah, do you have the video saved on your computer, or can you access it from your computer?

No, but I can do that by right click > save target as, right?

I'll do it later, but can you tell me how?

There are quite a few ways. The way that I know doesn't require any special program would be to go into your audio settings (the little speaker icon in the toolbar).

- Right click the speaker icon at the bottom right of your screen, and choose "Open Volume Controll"
- Go to Options>Properties
- Under "Adjust volume for" choose recording
- Make sure the "Stereo Mix" box is checked, and click OK
- Under the volume slider for "Stereo Mix" check the select box

-Open your music video file, and your audio recording program (Windows default would be in Accessories>Entertainment>Sound Recorder in the start menu)
-Start Recording, and start playing your music

Note that this method will record any sound that comes out of your computers speakers. There are easier ways of doing it, but I can't think of any that don't require a program you might not have. You may have to record a couple of seconds to test it, and adjust the volume in your audio settings accordingly (in the recording section)

Cool, thanks. But do I need a mic for this?

Edit-

I just looked. There's no stereo mix. There's playback, recording, and other, whhich is grey out.

Underneath those three (pick recording from them) there should be a list of possible sources, and no you don't need a mic.

No, it will record anything that goes to your speakers. You just have to play it.

Right... forgot about that... You might need a different sound recording program, and I can't help you with that.

Do a forum search for cron or cronjob. Its been discussed several times. I believe you can do it through the control panel but have not used it myself
